SHEnergy Wellness aims to foster physical, mental, and emotional strength in women of all backgrounds by providing accessible wellness programs that promote self-care, confidence, and community. Through yoga, fitness, and holistic support, we strive to uplift women, helping them unlock their inner power and thrive in every aspect of their lives.
We continually strive to make wellness more inclusive and accessible to minority women.
Our Purpose
SHEnergy Wellness was born out of a passion for yoga and women's empowerment. After building Fits4yoga, an apparel brand focused on comfort and style, our founder Tempestt Young, saw firsthand the transformative power of yoga and fitness.
However, she also noticed the barriers many minority women like her face: lack to access, limited finances, time and support to make well-being a priority.
We hope to fill that void by providing women of all backgrounds with a space to reconnect with their bodies, minds, and inner strength.

Wellness Challenges Faced By Black Women
Chronic Illness
Black women face higher rates of chronic conditions such as heart disease, hypertension, and diabetes.
Nearly 45% of Black women over 20 have hypertension, compared to 28% of white women (CDC).
Maternal Health Disparities
Black women are nearly 3 times more likely to die from pregnancy-related complications than white women.
They also face higher rates of preterm birth and infant mortality due to inequities in healthcare (CDC).
Mental Health and Stress
38% of Black women report feeling more overwhelmed by stress than their white counterparts and they are less likely to receive adequate mental health care (American Psychological Association).
Access to Healthcare
About 13.6% of Black women are uninsured, limiting access to preventive and routine healthcare services (KFF).

For example, a nutrient-rich diet has been linked to a 30% lower risk of heart disease and a 40% lower risk of Type 2 diabetes.

A supportive community can reduce isolation and depression while promoting health literacy and physical activity. Research shows that participation in wellness communities leads to a 15% improvement in overall health satisfaction.

What can I say? I was once a person with no meaning in life. My life was empty and I felt like a loser. A close friend of mine gave me a link to the yoga course and my life is suddenly a life with a purpose.

Let me be the first to tell you that I have tried almost all yoga courses out there. And, every time I have failed.
Well, this was a totally different way of seeing things. And, I am now in the second stage of my Yoga training and have not failed so far.
My aurora might not be as clear as others, but I will get there with - mark my words!
